SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY

SHIPPING

All orders are shipped via USPS, UPS or FedEx priority mail. 

Orders pickup are also available.

Orders will be shipped within three (3) to seven (7)days of being placed. Orders placed after 12pm on Friday will be processed the following Monday. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the following Monday. 

In some cases, we may experience delays due to our supplier or busier time of the year.

We do not ship outside of the United States at this time.

RETURNS

It is our goal at L’ATELIER des artistes to provide products that you will enjoy and continue to love.  We understand that there may be an occasion when you change your mind or something is not quite what you expected.

Online Sales:  We accept returns for non-sale product(s) that are unused, unopened, and in the state that they were delivered within fourteen (14) days of purchase date.  Please notify us of your return at info@atelier-da.com or call us at 203-343-2346 EST. Upon examination of the returned product(s) we will issue a credit in store of the product cost, including taxes. We do not offer refunds on products or on shipping cost.  

If the product is damaged at the time of delivery, please contact immediately by phone 203-343-2346 or by email in@atelier-da.com to proceed to the verification of your claim.

How to Return a Product?

Please notify us of your return via email at info@atelier-da.com or call us, 203-343-2346 EST. to receive the instructions of the return. We will not proceed to the credit if the package is received damaged due to poor packaging.

SERVICES

PHOTOGRAPHY

1. contract policy.

Each photography service comes with a contract. The photographer reserves the right to modify contracts between two different sessions.

The client receives the contract by email after the pre-session design consultation. This contract and any other documents provided shall be signed and returned in order to complete the booking.

The contract comes with this following policy to review.

The contract includes client’s contact information, session location(s), date, time and any terms concerning the order including but not limited to the hours of work and design expectations.

2. session fee.

The session fee includes one or more pre-session design consultation(s) and communication exchanges depending on the order made.

The session fee includes a final in person appointment for digital or physical product order.

The session fee includes the service, usage of supplies and equipment during the service and post-editing,

The session fee includes the knowledge, the expertise and the hourly rate of the artist on site.

The session fee includes the knowledge, the expertise and the hourly rate of the artist for selecting and editing the digital product.

The session fee does not include the final digital or physical products unless otherwise described in the contract. The client will be able to make a selection once the photographer has done the work and provided a password protected access to the gallery.

The session fee does not include travel fees unless otherwise described in the contract.

The session fee is non-refundable.

3. travel fee.

A travel fee may apply and will be communicated before the booking.

The travel fee is based on mileage, usage of the vehicle and hours of travel.

The travel fee is detailed during the pre-session consultation and written on the contract.

4. Artistic style.

Client acknowleges that she/he has reviewed example of previous work and is satisfied with the overall style of photography that is presented.

Client understands that differences in locations, subjects and lighting allow for variations in the final outcome session.

There is no knowing what photo will be produced from this endeavor but the result can be mostly controlled with a good preparation during the pre-session design consultation.

Clients agrees that the photographer cannot be responsible for any undesired result.

5. policy on rescheduling regular sessions and appointments.

The client may reschedule the session date one (1) time for no additional fee, provided that the client contacts the studio at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

If the client chooses to reschedule the session prior to being photographed, the client may use 100% of the session fee towards a future session that occurs within sixty (60) days of the original scheduled date.

Unless case of “Force Majeure”, If notice is received less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, there will be a service fee of minimum $50 due at the time of rescheduling the appointment.

In a case of “Force Majeure”, which includes but not limited to war, pandemic, State or Federal order, fire, extreme weather, the client may still use 100% of your session fee towards a future session fee that occurs as soon as both parties, the studio and the client, are allowed and within 365 days of the original scheduled date at the latest. In a reasonable time and effort, the studio will provide at least three or more different new dates and times and the client may choose one of them to reschedule the session. If the client is not able to attend one of the appointments suggested by the studio, the client will forfeit 100% of the original non-refundable session fee.

5 bis. policy on rescheduling wedding appointments.

The client may reschedule the appointment date one (1) time for no additional fee, provided that the client contacts the studio at least ninety (90) days prior to your scheduled appointment.

If the client chooses to reschedule the wedding appointment, the client may use 100% of the session fee towards a future appointment that occurs within six (6) months of your original scheduled date.

Unless case of “Force Majeure”, If notice is received less than ninety (90) days prior to the scheduled appointment, there will be a service fee of $450 due at the time of rescheduling the appointment.

In a case of “Force Majeure”, which includes but not limited to war, pandemic, State or Federal order, fire, extreme weather, the client may still use 100% of the session fee towards a future appointment that occurs as soon as both parties, the studio and the client are allowed and within 365 days of the original scheduled date at the latest. In a reasonable time and effort, the studio will provide at least three (3) or more different new dates and times and the client may choose one of them to reschedule the session. If the client is not able to attend the appointments suggested by the studio, the client will forfeit 100% of the original non-refundable session fee.

6. policy on cancellation.

If the client decides to cancel the photo session prior to being photographed, and do not wish to reschedule a future session, the client will forfeit 100% of the original non-refundable session fee.

If the client decides to cancel the digital or physical products purchase after the session has already been photographed, the client will be responsible for an additional service fee for the artist’s work on the images photographed during the session. This additional service fee is minimum $50 and can be up to $500.

If the client decides to not order the minimum product purchase required and described in your contract, this will be considered as a cancellation of the purchase and the additional service fee will be applied.

7. Who may/is required to attend the photo session.

L’ATELIER des artistes LLC requires that a parent or legal guardian accompany all minors to their portrait session.

Third party as client supervisor, executive production, crew members, immediate family or close friends are welcome to attend the session if cleared with the photographer ahead of time.

8. Personal camera policy.

In some cases, no personal cameras are allowed during the photo session.

The client may take behind-the-scenes photographs with personal cameras as long as the photographer or a team member of our studio clearly appears in all images that you take and after the photographer’s approval. If these pictures will be exposed on social media, the credential copyright must appears on all images as well as the tags @l_atelier_da for Instagram and @latelierdesartistes for Facebook.

If the images are posted on any other online platforms, the credential copyright L’ ATELIER des artistes LLC must appear clearly and be linked to our website www.atelier-da.com

9. Final in person appointment for digital or physical product order policies.

The final in person appointment for all product orders can be done through video call if either the photographer or the client is not able to attend a physical appointment for any reasons which includes but not limited to sickness, travel distance or business hours unavailability.

In the case that the appointment will be done virtually, the client will have access to a private, password-protected online gallery from this website to preview the selection at least 24 hours prior to the appointment.

We require all decision makers to be present at the appointment in order for the appointment to proceed.

The client will be placing the final order during the appointment based on the minimum purchase requirements determined at the time of the session booking and described in the contract.

The total payment and any remaining balance shall be paid at the time of the order.

Once the order is finalized at the end of the appointment, the order cannot be modified or cancelled.

10. Order pickup and delivery policy.

The client receives the order in a reasonable time determined by the photographer during the in person appointment.

Should the order be ready earlier, the client will be contacted by phone or email. If delays may occur because of stock or third party delay reasons, the order is still non-refundable unless and only if the third party cannot provide the order in a reasonable time and is able to cancel the order.

11. Graphic design policies.

The initial design fee is included in the price of the [book/album/card/etc.].

The initial design fee includes one (1) revision by the client when presented for initial approval.

Any additional revisions or changes to the design will incur a fee of $150.00 hourly rate.

All designs will be approved in a private, password-protected online approval gallery that may be accessed for a period of 48 hours. Signoff is required by the client in order to proceed. If additional time is needed, another in person approval appointment will be scheduled for you. The fee for this additional appointment is $50.

12. Image presentation policy.

While the artist may photograph several images during the session, only the best images determined by the artist will be presented at the final in person appointment.

The artist has carefully selected the best images of the highest quality and based on the initial order made during the pre-session design consultation.

Only under specific contract, the rushes can be presented. In most of the case the rushes remain to the artist only.

13. Digital file policy.

Unless the photographer mentions otherwise in a Grant of Copyright provided with the contract, all digital files that the client purchases are for virtual use only. Digital images may not be reproduced or printed in any form, except by the photographer.

Digital images may not be cropped or altered in any way.

14. Reorder policy.

Extra images not ordered during the final in person appointment can still be ordered within 365 days and only through virtual appointment. The images will be placed into a password-protected online gallery on this website accessible 24hours prior to the virtual appointment.

A minimum of $150 purchase is required for any additional or reorder.

15. Inherent qualities.

Client is aware that color dyes in photographs and photography products may fade or discolor over time due to the inherent qualities of dyes.

Client releases Photographer from any liability for claims whatsoever based upon fading or discoloration due to such inherent qualities.

16. Liability waiver.

Client agrees to hold harmless the photographer, team member of L’ATELIER des artistes LLC, and its employees in any dispute regarding any event where the client and other person present on site should become injured during the session or on the premises of the studio.

Client agrees that the studio will not be held accountable for loss or damage of any personal property during their session, or while they are on site.

17. Limit of liability.

In the unlikely event that the photographer cannot perform the session due to a medical or natural emergency, then the photographer may be replaced by another performer of the same expertise and service quality. If no photographer from the studio can perform, the session fee shall be returned to the client within 10 days but shall not have further liability with respect to the agreement. This limitation of liability shall also apply in the event that part or all of the equipment is not available the day of the session without the fault of the photographer or the studio. In the event of the photographer fails to perform for any other reason, the photographer shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of the Client’s order.

18. cooperation & physical liability.

All parties agree to cheerful cooperation and communication before, during and after the session and until the end of the contract.

The photographer and the studio are not responsible for missed images due to any individual’s or equipment’s failure to appear or cooperate during the session.

Any damage to the equipment components caused by the client or its guests are the sole financial responsibility of the client.

19. Artist duty.

It is the photographer duty to provide ahead of time all the informations the client may need to prepare the session in good conditions, including location set up and convenience, contract and other information related to the artist work.

20. model release.

In the case of the client is not or not only the one who is going to be photographed, the client has the responsibility to ensure that all models will sign a release form prior to the session in order for the client to use the images with the consent of the models.

A release form can be provided by the studio and need to be asked ahead of time.

A model release form in order for the photographer to use the pictures where the model appears for promotional purpose of the studio will be presented to all clients at the time of the session and the client will have the time to read it and the choice to sign it or not.

21. Copyright policy.

The US Copyright Act protects professional photographers by granting them the exclusive reproductive rights to all images they produce. Violations include, but are not limited to, making physical copies of digital or print images, scanning images, cropping or transforming in any ways the images, printing images from home or at any physical or online printing company, and screen shooting or downloading images from this website.

The transfer of Copyright to the client can occur and the Copyright fee can be applied if, and only if a written contract that clearly mention the transfer of Copyright is signed by both parties.

Note :

Please understand that we take our service to you as a professional very seriously, and you have hired us for our quality, artistry, expertise, and reputation. In order to protect our reputation and the quality of work that we provide to our clients, we must maintain full control over the printing and quality of the presentation of the images, as well as all forms of reproductions of these images.

Beauty artistry

1. contract policy.

A contract is sent for any Pro and wedding booking. The artist reserves the right to modify a contract between 2 different Pro or wedding services.

The client receives the contract by email after the pre-consultation appointment. The contract must be signed and returned in order to complete the booking.

The contract comes with this following policy to review.

The contract includes client contact information, work location, date, time, and any terms concerning the order including but not limited to the hours of work and special requests between both parties, the artist and the client.

2. rates.

The rate for service includes a pre-consultation appointment, diagnostic and preparation.

The rate for service includes the service, usage of products, supplies and equipment during the service.

The rate for service includes the knowledge, expertise and hourly rate of the artist.

The rate for service does not include extra-services requested during the appointment.

The rate for service does not include travel fees unless otherwise mentioned in the contract.

The rate for service is non-refundable.

3. Wedding booking policy.

The booking is not finalized unless the contract is signed and properly returned.

A minimum of Bride + 4 services is required to book a wedding date on location.

A minimum of Bride + 6 beauty services is required to book a wedding date on location at more than 25 miles away.

The client may add more services to the initial booking prior to the wedding date and depending on the artist availabilities. A notice of minimum 60 days prior to the wedding date is recommended.

At the time of booking a wedding service, the date, time, location, client contact information and a minimum of 50% payment of the total amount of services are requested to save the date.

The minimum 50% payment is non-refundable.

Client understands that the artist may be booked with other weddings the same day. Time and hours of work are determined during the pre-consultation appointment.

Client agrees that the artist is not assigned to the client and L’ATELIER des artistes LLC reserves the right to dispatch the team on location depending on the availabilities and schedules of the artists hired by the studio. In 99% of the cases, the artist who performed the trial run will be the artist on location.

4. travel fee.

A travel fee may apply and will be communicated before the booking.

The travel fee is based on mileage, usage of the vehicle and hours of travel.

The travel fee will be detailed during the pre-consultation appointment and written on the contract if a contract applies.

5. Artistic style.

Beauty services are provided with expertise and will result as much as possible to the client request.

Client understands that the beauty services are also artistic performances and each service will have a unique result.

Client agrees that the artist and the studio cannot be responsible for undesired result.

6. policy on rescheduling regular appointments.

The client may reschedule the appointment date one (1) time for no additional fee, provided that you contact the studio at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

If the client chooses to reschedule the appointment, the client may use 100% of the appointment payment towards a future service that occurs within sixty (60) days of your original scheduled date.

Unless case of “Force Majeure”, If notice is received less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, there will be a service fee of minimum $25 due at the time of rescheduling the appointment.

In a case of “Force Majeure”, which includes but not limited to war, pandemic, State or Federal order, fire, extreme weather, the client may still use 100% of your appointment payment towards a future appointment that occurs as soon as both parties, the studio and the client are allowed and within 365 days of your original scheduled date at the latest. In a reasonable time and effort, the studio will provide at least three (3) or more different new dates and times and the client may choose one of them to reschedule the session. If the client is not able to attend one of the appointments suggested by the studio, the client will forfeit 100% of the original non-refundable payment.

7. policy on regular appointment cancellation.

If the client decides to cancel the appointment in less than 48 hours prior the appointment, the client will forfeit 100% of the service payment.

7 bis. policy on wedding appointment cancellation.

If the client decides to cancel the wedding appointment at least sixty (60) days prior to the wedding date, and do not wish to reschedule a future appointment, the client will forfeit 50% of the total amount due for the services initially booked.

If the client decides to cancel the wedding appointment in less than 60 days prior the wedding date, and do not wish to reschedule a future appointment, the client will forfeit 100% of the total amount due for the services initially booked.

8. location set up and conveniences.

The client must provide a safe and easy to reach work space for the artist, including enough day light, one or more large table(s) and one or more low chair(s). The temperature of the working area should stand between 59 and 75 F and it is the responsibility of the client to provide heat or cooling if necessary.

It is also required that a minimum of person should be present in the same room in order to maintain concentration and good working conditions.

Client understands that the service scheduled goes along with time and once the service is started, the client shall not interrupt the service for personal reasons or distractions unless emergency.

Client agrees that if the appointment is delayed by any interruptions made by the client during the service, the studio may charge an extra fee of minimum $25 and up to $150 per extra hour.

Client understand that if the appointment is delayed by any interruptions made by the client during the service, the artist may not be able to finish the service in order to not delayed the other appointments of the day.

The client must be in healthy conditions to attend the appointment. If the client should show any sort of sickness symptoms, the appointment can be cancelled by the artist and the client will forfeit 50% of the total amount due for the services booked.

9. Social media policy.

The client may take behind-the-scenes photographs with personal camera as long as the artist who appears in all images gives her/his approval. If these pictures will be exposed on social media, the credential copyright of the artist work must appears on all images as well as the tags @l_atelier_da for Instagram and @latelierdesartistes for Facebook.

10. artist duty.

It is the artist duty to provide ahead of time all information the client may need in order to prepare the appointment. The client has the opportunity to ask any questions regarding the service during the pre-consultation appointment.

It is the artist duty to make a pre-consultation and diagnostic prior to the execution of the service.

It is the the artist duty to provide the services in safe and healthy conditions.

11. Liability waiver.

Client agrees to hold harmless the artist, team member of L’ATELIER des artistes LLC, and its employees in any dispute regarding any event where the client and other person present on site should become injured during the appointment or on the premises of the studio.

Client agrees that the studio will not be held accountable for loss or damage of any personal property during their appointment, or while they are on site.

Client agrees that the artist, team member of L’ATELIER des artistes LLC, and its employees cannot be responsible for any allergies, skin reactions that the client or model may feel or show during or after the service. The client must let the artist know ahead of time of any known allergy or sensitivity.

12. Limit of liability.

In the unlikely event that the artist cannot perform the service due to a medical or natural emergency, then the artist may be replaced by another performer of the same expertise and service quality. If no artists from the studio can perform, the payment shall be returned to the client within 10 days but shall not have further liability with respect to the agreement.

13. LicenseS and law.

The artist holds a valid license under the CT and VT State jurisdiction and will provide services in accordance to the State Law standards.
